My Love Dare

Hello Everyone,

Well when I first looked at this book I thought I don’t need to read that. I bought it anyway. I didn’t think I needed to read it because I have a happy marriage. We have been together for 16 years and we love each other deeply and we are happy. I can state that confidently because hubs and I often discuss it.

We have seen several friends who have been married for over 20 years end their marriages in the last few years. So because of this we have often talked about our marriage, our happiness and our future. I can honestly say that my hubs loves me and that I am first in his life. I can also say that communication is a big part of our marriage. We are each other’s best friend and we tell each other everything.

That doesn’t mean that we don’t argue and fight. That doesn’t mean that when I get really angry I leave. I usually end up at Wal-Mart lol. If it’s really intense, I need that cooling off time. Sometimes I stay and say ugly and hurtful things. So does he. So I know my marriage isn’t perfect. I know this because neither one of us are perfect. No one has the perfect marriage.

I will be telling him tonight that I am reading this book. I know that he won’t want to. His response will be ‘Why? We don’t need no book. Our marriage is great.’ And I agree with him. But after I read the back  cover “Whether your marriage is hanging by a thread or healthy and strong, The Love Dare is a journey you need to take”. I decided to take the journey.

So when I bought this book I decided I was going to read it after I was done with my Summer Bible study group. But I have decided after finding Toni’s Love Dare site that I would start it tomorrow. So my journey begins tomorrow – hope you’ll be stopping by.

Have a blessed day!
